Unfortunately, my e-mail was not functioning all weekend. Katy’s Office Girl was the 2-1 favorite on Friday (though why I don’t know…. maybe it was Ramon in the saddle). As usual, she was nowhere to be found but had lots of run at the end. Still she finished third but not really close to the winner. Because the race was off the grass it was only one mile. Ramon says that for Katy, the longer the better. Maybe we can look at her as a lesser (make that much lesser) version of Zenyatta, who is always at the back and then comes on in the end. We had never run her on dirt before because her turf workouts were so much better than her dirt workout. Nonetheless, if Linda can find the right length races for her, she may be able to win a few.
