He ran a “game” race… went to the lead, lost the lead but came back to go head and head with the 2nd place finisher but lost the “bob” in the final stride. Frustrating how three noses have cost us over $20K… but that’s the way it goes sometimes.

Thursday will see Another Genius run her first race on the dirt. It’s the third race at Aqueduct, a $14K claimer. Can she do it? She’s the morning line favorite at 9-5. It’s 6 1/2 furlongs out of the #2 post with Francisco Arietta on her back. Go Genius!

On Friday, it’s Hay Field in the 9th race at 6 furlongs with Junior Alvarado riding. She’s in the #1 post, which is a difficult position when you don’t have a lot of speed. Nonetheless, she’s two noses away from winning her last two races in this $25K claiming company. Maybe this time, she can prevail. Go Hay Field!

On Saturday, we expect to see Beyondelle appear for her first race at a mile. She’ll start in a $50K Maiden Claiming race with Francisco riding. Don’t know anything about post position or morning line as yet. All we know is that Assaf was very happy with her breeze yesterday. Go, Beyondelle!

Now, the weekend in Saratoga has turned into an overnight. We’ll leave for Saratoga right after Beyondelle‘s victory… or her race, anyway! Maybe, we’ll even cancel Saratoga and wait to see Love Code, until our brief trip to Virginia in December. Of course, I wouldn’t bet on that! We love that little guy and we’ll get to see his mother, Ahvee’s Destiny, along with FlatteryWillGetYou and Candy for Kisses… probably too good to pass up!
