Racing, mating, visiting

Racing at Aqueduct

Tomorrow, Delta Outlaw runs in another $14K Claiming race with Rosario Montanez in the saddle. It’s the first race at 12:20 PM. If you want to see it live, you can get the NYRA Now app or go to and click on the Racing tab, followed by Race Day Live on the drop down menu. We’re in the #4 post and the Morning Line is 12 – 1. If you can get those odds, we’re probably worth a bet.

We’re also hoping that Another Genius will race on Thursday, Hay Field will race on Friday and Beyondelle will race Saturday the 18th. We’ll keep you up to date as we know.

We have plans to visit Saratoga the weekend of the 17th – 19th. So, we may miss a race or two. We’ll see. While we like going to our races, we want to see Love Code before he departs from Stonegate Stables in Ft. Edward to Virginia. He was weaned from Ahvee’s Destiny over a week ago and we want to snuggle him, even though we plan on seeing him in Virginia on the morning of December 18. We’ll see My Aunt Mims that day too after visiting a Courageous Cat yearling at a different Virginia farm on the 17th.

On the 18th we’ll fly to Orlando and drive to Ocala to see 2- yr. old Aussie Ahvee, and yearlings Tzipi and Mo Joy at Pat Hoppel’s farm in Anthony, FL.

It’s almost breeding season. So, we have to find sires for our mares. Ahvee’s Destiny will visit Bernardini in February. What to do with the other mares is the question? So, we’re going to send info on the mares to a pedigree consultant and get stallion recommendations. That’s the plan anyway. Then we’ve got to negotiate stud fees, etc. Lots of work to do.

Have a great weekend!
