This morning around 4AM, Ahvee’s Destiny, dropped her foal. It’s a bay colt. In our minds, we’ve already nominated him for the Kentucky Derby and the Breeder’s Cup. In the meantime, we’re just gonna love him and snuggle him this weekend (if his mother let’s us!). He seems to have a very handsome face but as with any babies, we’ll have to see what he grows into. Both mare and foal are doing well.

The process took about 1/2 hour. She had plenty of help from the dedicated personnel at Rojan Farms. So did the foal, who took about 1 1/2 hours to stand up even with all the help!

So far, I’m calling him Little Ahvee because that covers a lot of ground but we’ll see what he’ll be named in the future.
