Two 2-yr. olds and a yearling
Ransom Note is a chestnut 2-yr. old colt whose sire is Regal Ransom and whose Dam is Deputy Reality by Deputy Minister.
Regal Ransom won ~$1,894,000 and finished first or second in half his races.
Our colt’s genetic testing scores showed him sharing the genotype of elite milers. We’ll take that… and if he turns out to be able to go a mile and a quarter as an elite runner, maybe he (and we) will get to see him run in the Kentucky Derby. That’s everyone’s dream, anyway!
Our 2-yr. old chestnut filly pictured below has been named FlatteryWillGetYou. Note her three white socks.

Her sire Flatter has been very successful in the breeding shed with 24 Stakes winners of over $23 million in seven years, including Flat Out who won almost $3 million. Her Dam is Tres Chaud by French Deputy.
Genetic tests showed this filly to have the same genotype as found in elite sprinters. Ahvee’s Destiny is a chestnut sprinter. May this one be as good.
Speaking of Ahvee’s Destiny. Her yearling colt is down in Florida with the rest of them. Isn’t he cute? (Linda doesn’t think so!)

We think he’s handsome, going to win the Kentucky Derby and will become a successful doctor. Isn’t that what grandparents are supposed to think? He’s our first four-legged grandchild and we love him! He’s about to lose that distinction in less than a month, if all goes well with Ahvee’s Destiny’s scheduled birth. The date on the schedule is Valentine’s Day. We’re planning to be there for that weekend. Here’s hoping!
