Mother & Daughter

We got Sjip to take these photos before they shipped to Kentucky, so Ahvee’s Destiny could meet her next beau, Honor Code. They made it to Kentucky safely and will be in the Bluegrass state for around two months. Since, our friends’ horse did not make it to the Derby, we will not see them until they return but we do have Skip’s great photos to share with you.

Can you see her beautiful eyelashes?

Prancing in the corral.

Did they pose for this shot?

They start to move…

In all her glory!

In tandem…

Aww shucks!

Be safe in Kentucky our sweeties. We’ll miss you until we see you again.

Allie n’ Kat runs at a mile in the 2nd race at the Big A, Aqueduct, on Thursday. Everyone liked him until they started breezing him and found that he is slow. He’s running a longer race than Linda usually chooses for a first race because we hope he has stamina and can get stronger as he runs “a route of ground.” We’re hoping… but not confident. Cornelio Velasquez is riding. Go, Allie n’ Kat!

Hopefully, there’ll soon be more runners coming. In the meantime, Ransom Note is recovering at Dr. Hogan’s farm. Hay Field is a hard case, though she is very sweet as long as you’re not asking her to do something she doesn’t want to do! Candy for Kisses looks like she is coming into her own.

Have a lovely week. Only little more than two weeks until the Kentucky Derby!
