Last Friday, we were fearful that rain would once again result in a terrible drive to Saratoga and a terrible weekend in Saratoga. Well, we had some rain Saturday afternoon but it was not much of a disruption.
We got to see Ahvee’s Destiny and our new little colt on the way up and when we were returning. He is a dream… handsome, sweet and friendly. He lets us touch him and he comes back for more. What a pleasure!
Another Genius is now stabled in Saratoga. So, we got to see her each day. We got her to eat some carrots and got to see her gallop around the Oklahoma training track.
In between, Mike Dickinson paid a visit and we went to dinner with Sharon Castro at 15 Church. The next night we dined with Doc & Suzie O’Cain at Salt & Char.
We went to synagogue on Saturday morning and to the Historic Homes Tour on Saturday afternoon. When back in Stamford, we went to Mother’s Day dinner with my sister and her kids. And, yes, we were tired on Sunday night. All in all, a wonderful weekend!
