The ashes of Kentucky

We had the winner of the Kentucky Oaks. We picked three out of the first four finishers on Friday.

Today, we picked the winner of the Kentucky Derby and five out of the first six finishers.

Yet, we lost. In each case, we played exotic bets that were all ruined by the one bad apple that we didn’t pick. Our Kentucky group Superfecta left out Danza, who finished third. My personal Superfecta with California Chrome on top left out Commanding Curve, the second place finisher. This ruined all exactas and trifectas too!

A pretty good job of picking and a bad job (or just bad luck) betting.

Well, I won’t cry myself to sleep. I hope we’ll do better next time.
