Two to race at Aqueduct!

Ransome Note for Linda & Hot Possebility for Assaf run on Saturday and Sunday

Linda entered today tied with Rudy Rodriguez for the training championship at the Aqueduct meet. After 8 races, Rudy has won 3 times. One last chance for Linda in Race 9. Nope, she is beaten again.

Tomorrow, she runs Ransom Note again in an even cheaper claiming race after his victory 2 weeks ago. In my opinion, we should have waited and sent him to a higher class allowance race at Finger Lakes, a class “B” track with lesser horses. So, we’ll probably lose him tomorrow. Hopefully, he’ll win under Trevor McCarthy, who has ridden him in his last two races. It’s 6 furlongs in race #1 at 1:20 PM. He’s number 5

Sunday, Hector Diaz, a 4% winning rider, will ride Hot Possebility in the 9th race at 5:27 PM. It’s 6 1/2 furlongs and she’ll be coming out of the #1 post. As you can see, the trainers have they’re own agendas and reasons for doing things. Sometimes, you just wonder why?

We bought a 2-yr. old colt at the Ocala Breeder’s sale last week. His sire was Alpha, a winner of the Travers’ Stakes at Saratoga. We named him Alphalfa. He’s a handsome chestnut. He’s at Pat’s farm in Florida. My guess is they’ll send him up north with the other 2-yr. olds on May 1st. We’ll hope for that anyway.

Blissfully and Candy for Kisses should be foaling soon. Certainly more to report after the weekend. Enjoy yours!
